OSC transformed multiple spaces for HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood Medical Center.

Projects to highlight are the Inpatient Rehab Expansion, Trauma OR & PACU, Imaging Modifications and Outpatient Woman’s Services.

Inpatient Rehab Expansion (TDSHS 100% No Deficiencies) OSC removed extra office space and replaced it with a large medical gymnasium and constructed an additional six patient rooms where the outdated gym used to be. Inpatient medical rooms included Activities of Daily Living (AOL), kitchens and bathrooms with new showers. The Inpatient Rehabilitation Center remained open and actively treated patients without any interruption of care or intrusion of privacy during all phases of construction.

Trauma OR and PACU (TDSHS 100% No Deficiencies) The new Trauma Operating Room (OR) and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) features new chillers, massive air handlers, and a dedicated HVAC unit, Chemical resistant flooring and Laparoscopic surgery equipment, specialty light booms and two equipment arms for additional medical monitors.

Center Imaging Modifications The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Suite was an interior remodel of what was once a small, oddly laid out preoperative and office area into a large MRI suite with patient waiting and holding areas. Wall radiation shielding and radiation filters in overhead light fixtures were installed to reduce exposure risks.

Outpatient Woman’s Services An existing MOB interior space was demolished and renovated to house the Outpatient Women’s Services Unit. OSC implemented a new layout for exam/consultation rooms, and an imaging department inclusive of Tomography, mammography, and Ultrasound rooms.
