Our relationships within the Houston area allowed us to provide CRB cost savings at a greater level in addition to on-site support. The entire project is phased and our teams are currently involved in phases 1 and 2, meaning that our work is currently in two of the three campus buildings. Within the massive space, there are offices, multiple clean rooms, laboratory areas, and a warehouse that includes shipping and receiving. Inside these areas our teams have been installing architectural finishes such as drywall, door frames, hardware, glass, Hufcor movable partitions, and structural steel. The steel is an important feature of this project, supporting a set of stairs to the upper platforms and all of Lonza’s largescale pharmaceutical research equipment. Within the clean room spaces such as the laboratory, the experience of our healthcare construction team became extremely important. We are providing dust mitigation and air purification services in addition to our standard cleanliness protocols to ensure that these rooms remain sealed and safe. This is especially necessary in spaces requiring the installation of med gas tubing and around delicate research equipment. We are currently working on an expediated schedule, with project completion scheduled for phases 1 and 2 in November. We have already been re-engaged by Lonza to provide services on another job in College Station, TX and are looking forward to continuing to build this excellent relationship.
