This dealership is a first for McLaren

in the Houston Market and one of only 16 in North America.

The 23,000 square foot High-Tech facility is comprised of a best-in-class showroom, sales and office areas, a curated pre-owned car show room, and state of the art service area. The show room is clad in imported materials, installed to the exacting standards that McLaren’s clientele have come to expect from the brand. All materials used on this project came from Europe and had long lead times. The trickiest part was ensuring that we received the tile, stone, millwork, and lighting on time. Coordinating with a German company and translating their materials was a challenge that our team excelled in meeting. Tight coordination with our Germany-based millworker ensured exacting quality, dimensional stability, streamlined shipping and customs coordination. The sleek exterior of the building is wrapped in a combination of Alucobond panels, stucco and curtain wall. Site development included paving, site lighting, landscape and irrigation. The owner supplied multiple pieces of high performance equipment for McLaren’s auto shop. Our team worked alongside our owner’s technicians to facilitate the installation of their car lifts, air hoses and other shop equipment. We coordinated the plumbing installation and delivered excellence in connectivity and testing. Our team left voids in the slate for the car lifts and then once the lifts were installed went back in and rebuilt the slate around them. This ground up project was completed ahead of schedule. This result included absorption of almost five weeks of weather delays, due to rain. Success in achieving our milestones and early completion was due to close daily collaboration, orchestrated by OSC’s on site team in tandem with critical path subcontractors, our McLaren clients and the entire design team.
