Renovation in Occupied Hospital

OSC demolished what was once a 1980’s style Medical Office Building space to create and completely renovate the patient registration access area, administration and volunteer offices, and MRI suite at the Memorial Herman in the Woodlands. When cutting the first slab in the MRI space, an unforeseen second slab from the previous parking garage lay underneath. Our team quickly figured out a way to rerun the plumbing lines without problem and make the original plans, budget, and schedule all continue as planned. Project highlights include:

Installed radiation shielding into and around the MRI Suite walls
Coordinated the delivery and installation of the client owned MRI equipment
The new patient registration access area contains seven offices with an open work space for up to thirty people
The administration office includes nine offices and an open conference area
A new medical HVAC unit was placed on the third-floor rooftop
