SEARCH Homeless Services partnered with O’Donnell/Snider Construction (OSC) and Tramonte Design Studio to complete a multi-level campus expansion and renovation in Houston, supporting the organization’s mission to provide services for individuals experiencing homelessness. The project combined new commercial construction with the renovation of an existing facility, expanding SEARCH’s capacity to deliver programs, administrative services, and community support.
The expansion included three levels of new construction integrated with the existing campus. The first level, approximately 22,000 square feet, was constructed as a ground-level parking structure with enclosed storage rooms. The second level added an additional 22,000 square feet of elevated parking and features a 37-foot by 16-foot connector bridge linking the new structure to the existing building. The third level includes approximately 9,000 square feet of new office and program space designed to accommodate SEARCH’s growing operations. A second connector bridge connects this level to the existing 25,000-square-foot building, which also underwent a complete interior renovation as part of the overall campus modernization.
By combining ground-up construction, structured parking, building renovations, and elevated connector bridges within a single project, OSC successfully expanded SEARCH’s operational capacity while creating a more connected and functional campus. The project demonstrates OSC’s experience in delivering complex renovation and expansion, as well as new commercial construction projects that support long-term organizational growth and community impact.
